Max Archimedes Levitt

/biography

Max Archimedes Levitt (He/She/They), Costume Designer, Draper, Patterner, and Drag Queen, began his long path to becoming an accomplished story teller and artist by making magazines for his parents. Entrepenurial, he would sell the pasted together fashion editorials to his parents for just nickels on the dime. He uses this love of fashion, and composition now everyday to create exceptionally interesting clothing ensembles.

Max's work has been seen across the East Coast & Midwest. He prides himself on creating costumes that fuse fashion, costume, and illustration. He manipulates geometry and textile to create unique, and stunning garments.

 

Max has since worked as a director, devisor, designer and writer for new work at the Teatr Arka in Wrocław, Poland where he was received as a bright young artist.

His work continued in poland as a workshop presenter in devising experimental theatre for the Festiwal Szekspirowski in Gdańsk, Poland. (Documentary viewable: here)

 

Max holds his MFA Costume Design & Technology (2016) from the University of Missouri-Kansas Cityunder Professor Lindsay W. Davis. He graduated from the University at Buffalo, Summe Cum Laude from the Honors College with a BFA in Scenography.
